VISION
to create a mechanism thru which all interested organizations can communicate and coordinate their activities so that consumers and their families can fully access available resources and so that organizations can effectively coordinate outreach and fundraising activities.
GOALS
Intermediate
- Establish a core group of stakeholders.
- Establish a quarterly meeting schedule.
- Commit to submitting to a coordinated calendar (simple web-based like yahoo or Google) of special events, fundraising events, conferences, etc.
Intermediate
- Increase I &R knowledge base for all participants.
- Create networking opportunities for provider and parent organizations.
- Establish better understanding of needs and interests for autism resources and identify underserved populations, locales and issues.
Long Term
- Develop new and better services thru networking and mutual resource sharing.
- Improve fundraising results for local charitable organizations.
- Improve public awareness and understanding of the autism communities and causes in San Diego County.
